Tour 26: "Gran Sabana" Tour Prices
A very especial experience in this type of nature. In the 3.000.000 hect. of Canaima's national park lies the "Gran Sabana", one of the oldest parts that the Earth counts with. Between the enormous tepuyes and their waterfalls, it extends this plateau which impress us because of its vasteness, and its unique flora and fauna.
Course of the tour:
1. Day: Departure from Ciudad Bolivar to Ciudad Guayana, as described, visiting the rapids of Cachamay. Guided visit to a gold mine in El Callao. After that, drive to the waterfall "Kamma-Meru", short hiking and a boat ride in its water basin. Overnight stay in a indian settlement.
2. Day: Excursion to the waterfall "Kauri-Meru"and hiking on the shore of the river. After approx. 3 hours hike, we'll have reached the waterfall of "Aponwao" (Chinak-Meru, 118mts height). After two and a half more hours drive, we'll arrive in the indian mission "Kavanayen" where we'll spend the night.
3. Day: We'll drive south until we reach the observing point to the Tepuy. Visit to the waterfall of "Pacheco" and "Jaspe Rojo". After that, we'll continue to Santa Elena, visiting the different sightseens of the place. Then we'll cross the Venezuelan border to Brazil. Overnight stay.
4. Day: Return to Ciudad Bolivar. It's also possible to flight from Santa Elena to Canaima, so the tour could also take with us 2 or 3.
Services:
German or English speaking guide, all the transfers and overnight stay. As well as all the meals and drinks in the tour.
Equipment list:
Cotton clothes, swimming wear, water resistant shoes, flashlight and a light sleeping bag.
