Tour 24: Salto Angel

Let you impress for Canaima, the biggest national
park of Venezuela (30.000 km2) and for the highest
waterfall of the Earth, Salto Angel (970mts).
The impressive tepuy with its ever green jungle,
magical waterfalls, rivers and lakes, makes of Canaima
a worth trip.

Course of the Tour
Day 1: In the morning, flight from Ciudad Bolivar to Canaima.
Boat ride to Canaima's lake. Short hiking on a river island
until we reach Sapo and Sapito's waterfall(bathing possible).
Next, we'll go on boat on the Carrao river in direction to Angel's
Fall until we reach the camp. On the way, we'll pass by the
impressive tepuy,. Overnight stay in hammocks.
Day 2: We'll continue upward on the Churun river until we reach Raton island. Hike of approx. one hour, until we reach the observing point to Angel's Fall. Bathing is possible its water basin. Return to the camp.
Day 3: In the morning, return to Canaima town. Bathing is possible in the lake. In the afternoon, returning flight to Ciudad Bolivar.

Note: it's possible to combined the tour to Kavac -small indian settlement- (visit of the kavac cave, waterfalls)

Services:
Two way flight: Ciudad Bolivar-Canaima, excursion in boat, all meals and drinks (no alcohol), overnight stay in hammocks, English speaking guide.

Equipment list:
Light cotton clothes and swimming wear, water resistant shoes, flashlight, mosquito repellent and a light sleeping bag.
