Tour 2: The Southwest                     Tour Prices

This one-day-tour is a very nice complement to the Páramo tour. The impressive and contrasting landscape of the Venezuelan Andes in the low regions of Mérida state is an interesting experience which is worth to see it..

Course of the tour:
Driving through the green mountanious cloudforest, we'll reach the colonial town of Jaji, where we'll visit the big coffee-farm "El Carmen". Going along Chama River, we'll arrive in the half desert of Ejido and Lagunillas, where the sugar cane plantations are. There, we'll have a live-experience of how the sugar cane, coffee and chimó (a kind of chewing tobacco) are processed.
Then, we'll visit the renovated Hacienda La Victoria which is also an old coffee farm where a coffee- and an immigration museum are located.

Transportation, English or German speaking guide and ticket to the coffee museum.
