Description:
The north peninsula of Araya lies on the Caribbean belt where a big part of the islands are covered by half dessert vegetation like cactus and thorn bushes. The island which was declared free trade area since 1975, offers its paradise beaches besides the purchase. The international tourism wasn't left behind either. Nowdays, Margarita has the biggest and most varied hotels of Venezuela. However, there are also problems, specially those related with the infrastructure. The main attraction of this holiday island is, without doubt, quite a few untouchable places. In Margarita, there are some really beautiful beaches, places you've just dream of. The island is one of the main destinies for all the local and foreigner tourists because of its gambling hotels, big shopping malls, lots of lovely restaurants, acuatic sports, and its dream-beaches, that's why we'd like also to prevent you of the difficulties that might arise when visiting such complex place.

Description:
The archipelago lies on northern side of the Caribbean sea, 150km north from Caracas. The area has 47 islands, over 200 little islands "cayos" and sandbanks. The islands are made of different types of corals. In order to protect the delicate ecosystem of fishes and birds, this area (225.153 hectares) was declared National Park in 1972. The beaches have the most finest sand, the water in the lagoons has the most beautiful turkish color. Diving and snorkeling are a wonderful experience.
Los Roques is a place where the sun shines the whole year. Its climate is tropical, only from December to January, it rains sporadically. The temperature in the air is between 27°-30°C, and in the water between 23°-28°C. The nights cool off from 2°-3°C.
Tourism has increased in the last years. However, through official regulations, the government has tried to avoid the exodus of tourists, trying to keep the quiet and unique spirit of this National Park.
