The formal capital city Ciudad Bolívar, in Orinoco has economically surpassed in the meantime the new established city, Ciudad Guayana.

- The charm of the old trade city lies on the different places you can visit: its historical center and museum as well as the Paseo Orinoco, a long stretch promenade along the Orinoco shore.

Information and Tips:
The tour to Canaima is for sure a highlight. In the high season there are lots of tourists. For that reason we recommend you as an alternative to take a longer tour for 5-6 days to the "Para" water falls ("Rio Caura" tour) or the challenging climbing of "Roraima" (plateau). We recommend staying at Posada "La Casita" .
