The city, Puerto Ayacucho, exists since 1924 and lies on the upper course of Orinoco River. It looks more like a province and missionary center of the region rather than a meaningful trading place.
Undertaking:
- We recommend visiting the Indian museum located in the center (Museo Etnológico de Amazonas) and the plazas with its indian markets, which are right before the museum. Lots of things, made by the indian themselves, are going to be sold everyday in the market.
